Antonio Ssebuuma Bukhar
He is a social entrepreneur, professional versatile dance performer, choreographer & teacher with a unique blend of styles, namely Hip-hop, contemporary, dance hall, breaking & Uganda traditional dances.
Some of his key activities & achievements:
Artistic Director for Kuenda Productions (2014); whose idea is to follow the vision of sustainable artistic, trans global collaboration. Some of the popular successful works include. “Twenty Fifteen, Empty the Space & ILL- Legitimate productions”
Committee member of Batalo East (2013); a nonprofit organization setting platforms and exchange opportunities for dancers across east Africa
Founder of Arts 2 Hearts (2012); an organization with the vision to encourage and promote the use of arts as a valued form of expression
Founder of Tabu Flo Dance Company (2007); a highly recognized professional dance company in Uganda that recently aired on CNN African Voices and their popular Night dancers piece featured in The Economist Magazine
Founding Member of Break Dance Project Uganda (2006); an NGO that uses hip-hop for social positive change
Winner of Uganda National Dance Competition Hot-Steps; this was one of his greatest dance achievements, because this award laid the foundation for his further dance career. With this award he was able to open Antonioz dance Studio and this made him introducing Dance fitness in Uganda.
